Historical Event on 9/7/1931
The Second Round Table conference began in London and lasted till 1st December, 1931. Congress was solely represented by Gandhi and Muslim League by Sir Allama Iqbal and Quaid-e-Azam. Two committees were set up to carry out the work of the conference on Federal Structure and Minorities. Gandhi was the member of both the committees. He claimed that being the sole representative of the Congress, he represented the whole of India. Quaid-e-Azam replied that Muslims are a separate nation. Sir Shafi demanded that the 14 points of Quaid-e-Azam be incorporated in the future constitution.

9/1/1930 | Suhasini Ganguly, freedom fighter, was arrested and send to Hijali Jail for her revolutionery activities. She later lived a low profiled life after release from prision. |
9/25/1899 | Narhar Gangadhar Apte, great Hindi writer, was born at Satara. |
