Raj Chandra Bose, Indian mathematician and statistician, was born at Hosangabad in Madhya Pradesh. He made many valuable contributions to the subject. He discovered new codes for telecommunication. In 1976, America's highest honour to a scientist came to Bose as he was elected Fellow of the US Academy of Sciences.

It was indeed a 'red letter day' in the history of IAF a befitting gift on its coming of age ' when the first helicopter wearing IAF markings appeared at Palam in the form of a Sikorsky, S-55. Such a swift action, complete involvement and dedication on the part of the crew and technicians was the clear indication of the standards with which One-O-Four set about its tasks for others to emulate. |

The length of the note is 177 mm and the width is 73 mm. The notes are printed in a combination of offset and intaglio processes. This is the first note with intaglio printing on it. |
